Mass & Co have secured Grade A office space at Academy Place, Brentwood on behalf of Winterflood Securities Limited.
Winterflood, one of London’s leading securities traders, appointed Mass & Co in the summer to act on their behalf to find and acquire suitable premises for a regional satellite office outside their main headquarters in the City of London. Their search focussed on Brentwood due to its attractive accessibility for Winterflood’s traders and support staff. Other neighbouring locations including Billericay and Basildon were options but Brentwood provided the availability and quality of space. A number of office buildings in the town were considered, with the final decision being Academy Place.
Academy Place is a major Brentwood office building totalling 46,000 sqft which is situated on the London Road close to junction 28 of the M25 and the A12 owned by landlord, Columbia Threadneedle and represented by Kemsleys LLP.
Winterflood have taken 12,700 sqft (1,180 sqm) over two floors on a new 10 year lease. The decision to secure further office space outside of London is partly due to the impact of Covid -19 as well as an opportunity to consolidate property occupation costs.
Mass & Co were pleased to find and quickly secure the right space for Winterflood, who aim to be in occupation before the end of the year.
