LEASE EXTENSION AND ENFRANCHISEMENT

The value of leasehold residential property falls as the lease term becomes shorter, having an impact on its marketability and on its acceptability as security for mortgage purposes.

Legislation gives lessees the right to acquire a new lease or to collectively purchase the freehold in their building. Our role is to value the premium payable by the lessee to the freeholder, for acquisition of the new interest under the terms of the relevant Acts.
